Speech Day 2009

Again, for two weeks I've stopped updating my blog. -.-

I guess I must be more religious in updating or else there would be another dying blog on the network. ~.~

So last Saturday was the day I attended my last Speech Day. Sigh, how time flies... I still could remember how excited I was when I received invitation to attend my first Speech Day back in secondary school. So excited that I had a hard time falling asleep a night before that. XD

I was just exaggerating. Heh...

OK back to Speech Day. I wasn't sure whether I was invited because I didn't receive any invitation. Heck I didn't even know there's one if it wasn't my friends told me. So I had to ask Joanna to help confirming, then only I knew I'm on the invited list.

Then on the day itself, as I opened the door when I was about to leave the house, the invitation card was right in front of me, in between the gate at the very last minute.

And my father decided to attend at the very last minute before we're leaving the house. Everything is at the very last minute. -.-''

Long story short, the ceremony was OK. The usual speeches, lining up to go on the stage to receive the awards, then performances and after that a jamuan wraps up everything.

And that wraps up my post on Speech Day. LOL

The only thing is that no photo for this post as my father didn't really know how to handle the camera so the photos of me receiving the award just showed a ghastly figure walking past the stage hastily. :/

I guess this would be the last school event I took part in.

Genting Trip Part 2

As I was 10-20 feet above ground, I noticed my vision has become blur. OMG was it too high for me to handle? Was I having an illusion? Was I going to die? OMGOMG!!!

Then it hit me... I left my specs down there. -.- Apparently no eye wears were allowed.

OK it was definitely a lame attempt to create suspense. XD

And so we survived the fall...

The ride didn't last long. And so did the thrill. It was fun for the first 2 seconds when it's falling. After that you would probably start wondering when will the ride ends. And the thing was, we thought at least we could get a good view of Genting on top, but the mist was too thick for us to see anything but the outline of the landscape. So it was quite a let down.

Perhaps we expected too much. Or perhaps we did too much of a warm up beforehand. :P

So we decided that it's time for lunch, at 2pm something. Haha I guess we've lost track of time. But we suspected the camera was a bit faulty, so we did a little bit check up along the way.

Maybe it's the battery, come on gimme more batteries...!

We weren't experts so we sought help at the telephone booth.

It took 4 of us to make a phone call. And Hannah wanted to make an emergency call hence the photo

We boarded the bus to send the camera to the technician.

It was crowded.

We were in a rush and a bit clumsy so...

...we had a minor set back.

We dealt with it anyway. But something else happened...

Our technician was an elephant and it dropped our camera into the wishing well.

Everyone was shocked and didn't know what to do. So...

...the end.

Man, am I a story teller or what? :P

OK so we headed to Pizza Hut for lunch. Again this was the first time I've been to Pizza Hut. -.- Sigh I know... What am I? Living on a tree?

Censored and scrutinizing

Robson was too hungry

CC-Mok Rasengan

We had enough of outdoor rides, so we headed for the indoor ones after the meal.

Queuing up for the ride into an artificial mine

Woah...!!

Then we went for the log flume.

Testing 1 2 3...

I was told that by sitting in the middle you would get less water splashed on you. And based on common sense, I think it's kinda true also since it's either the last or the first one that would be splashed on. What are my chances right?

Apparently he lied to me. -.- And my common sense failed me. I was splashed... TWICE. The weird thing was that only I was drenched. I suspected that the others were water-proof. -.-''

So I walked around with soaked, wet hair, and everyone looked at me. -_-

We headed for the outdoor rides again and it started to drizzle again. Wow, Genting really reminds me of Forks of Twilight. XD But those annoying organized pests that went around shouting and clapping were still out there to annoy the hell out of people like us. -.-

After a few rides, I was feeling very uneasy. Probably I was getting sick due to the weather and me being all drenched. Was like deja vu all over again. I was worried that I may fall sick like what I did during the Penang trip. -.-

Luckily I was feeling better right after I took a hot water bath. Chilled a while before we headed to KFC for dinner. After they forced me into imitating Jay Chou. XD

Yo XD

Took a few more relaxing rides before we headed back to our rooms, since our tickets were still valid. XD

The gondola

The mini Ferris Wheel that looked like a decorated dog cage to me -.-

We decided to head back to our rooms. And along the way, we saw some posters that were quite interesting. XD

We're the Black Eyed Gang XD

We learned to rock

RO Day...

Jacky Ling

Joey Lee

SHM, SHK, SHW XD

And the bomb has to be...

Jolin Ng

HAHAHAHAHAH he's even holding his pants up XD

That night ended with a failed attempt to talk about something personal and everyone went to bed. XD

The next day, it's time to say goodbye. We took it slowly and had our breakfast late morning. These were what we had for breakfast...

Tuna bread

And trusty Maggi of course. :)

Steamy hot Maggi mee

And did I tell you we had the same thing yesterday morning as well?

Claimed to be siblings LOL

Yes I'm having Pringles for breakfast

This is what we called an unhealthy diet. XD So Robson was very unsatisfied that he started to scold bad words to the receptionist.

'Where the f*ck is my salad!!??'

Then it's time to check out and say bye.

Walked damn far

Chilled a while...

The skyway was closed for maintenance, unfortunately. So we had to take the bus. Oh well...

Waiting for the damn bus driver -.-

Bye Genting~

It was a nice trip, even though we had difficulties planning it and all. We made the best of it and had tons of fun there.

And I'm RM 200 poorer. T.T

Genting Trip Part 1

After planning and canceling and planning and canceling *repeat 54523 times* for two months, we've finally put up a trip to Genting. :) And things were getting better when we managed to get a 'Yes' from 16 of us. :D

In the end only these showed up...

The RO gang...

Of which 10 of us ffk-ed on the very day we have to confirm with the agent. -.-''

So fine, despite the fact that we can't get a package which was way cheaper than a self-organized trip because we didn't have enough people, we went there anyway since we have no life due to RO our spirits were soaring high and we're dying for a breakaway from RO.

The first day was uh... selamba. Took our own sweet time getting ready and meeting up at the bus station, for CK at least. Rob and I had waited him for half an hour or so at the LRT station until I was bored and sleepy. Instead of arriving at 3pm, we arrived half an hour late. So we bought our tickets, boarded the bus and the boys were all damn semangat 'blowing water' while I decided to take a short nap.

We arrived at Genting, then went to the hotel to check in and meet up with Hannah. Chilled a while in our rooms, then we adjourned to Sushi King for dinner. And along the way, from...

...our room, to...

...the sofa at the corridor Nana claimed to be eerie, and finally to...

...the elevator we were camwhoring testing our camera whether it worked fine.

This was actually my first time eating in Sushi King. -.-'' I don't really fancy sushi all this while so you can't really blame me. :P It didn't disappoint me though. Only thing was that it's expensive, and that's exactly why I don't fancy sushi. XD

Zhi Wang posing with the wasabi...

And CK liked his meal a bit too much I guess...

Was about to try my first sushi in Sushi King

And this is Robson who ought to have some table manners *shake head*

CC was exciting about eating it...

OK we had our tummy stuffed, then proceeded to loiter around. Instead of taking a walk indoors, we decided to have a little adventure and risk getting a flu by walking under the drizzle outside. Walked around and Robson decided to buy his new shoes, in Genting. -.-'' Had a little encounter with Mr. Mummy outside the shop.

Where we had a little experiment to gauge Nana's charm

CC: eh nana go test and see...
CK: if he move a... then is really something...
Me: nana go try... see he move or not
CK: don't dream, won't move wan.
Nana: if he move then how?!
CK: no need to think so much.. people move for leng luis only
Nana: if he really move then u buy that Nike jacket for me aaa!
CK: ... *can't remember what he said*

In the end, he did move. Probably just layan-ing this very excited Nana. :P

The night was still young. We initially planned to watch a movie in the theater but it's too late and we may fall asleep before the movie ends. So we bought a DVD instead. A horror movie, Zhi Wang's recommendation.

Then it's pool time. XD

Poser...

Note the same position of the cue balls. :P

Don't be deceived. It's all a set up.

Showing off... obviously XD

And a bunch of posers... -.-''

OK after that we went back to our room for the movie. All of us have been anticipating something that scares the shit out of us, or at least something eerie. In the end, we weren't scared but rather disgusted.

Horror my foot -.-

That night we went to bed dulan-ified... by that stupid movie. -.-

OK the next day, we woke up rather early but well we took a bit too much time preparing ourselves. By the time we reached there, there were already long queues all over the place...

And so we queued up...

Well, um... frankly this was my second time to the theme park so I was a little bit excited. XD So I don't mind waiting... And so the time went by...

...and we waited...

...and waited...

...until we got sick of waiting. -.-'

And to make matters worse, there was were a 2 3 many groups of hooligans students shouting and clapping, pushing our patience to its limit. -.-'' And they're ALL over the damn place. Just as we thought we could avoid the crowd by going on a Monday, they came knocking at our door. Sigh...

We tried most of the rides and it was fun. Zhi Wang, for some reasons, insisted playing the mini game to try his luck on winning the teddy bear. He lost, obviously XD, yet we still couldn't fathom the reason behind his fetish...

Of course, we saved the best for the last... the Solero Shot. It's definitely the worst nightmare for acrophobes. ;)

Strapped on and terrified... Waiting to experience free fall...

Slowly we were ascending high above the sky, as everything seemed to be perfectly normal, suddenly I felt something was amiss...

To be continued...
